Farmingville, NY – At the June 14 Town Board Meeting, Councilman Dan Panico recognized the Center Moriches High School “Red Devils” Varsity Baseball team (left photo) for winning the coveted title of New York State Class B Champions. It was the first time in the school’s history, that the team earned the title. The team finished the season with a 23-4 record and Head Coach Dennis Donovan was named Suffolk County Coach of the year.
Councilman Panico also honored the Center Moriches High School Varsity Boys Track Team (right photo) for an outstanding season, finishing second in League 7 with an overall record of 5-1. Several members participated in the Suffolk County Divisional Championships in various categories, including Shot Put and Discus, Pole Vault, 100 Meter Dash and the 4 X 800 Relay.
