Farmingville, NY – On July 4, Councilwoman Jane Bonner was on hand to celebrate Independence Day at the Shoreham Fourth of July Parade. The day’s events started with the annual parade and included naming “John’s Beach” in honor or of long-time resident and Shoreham Beach Commissioner John Weiss in recognition for his more than 30 years caring for the beach.

Councilwoman Bonner said, “The Shoreham Fourth of July parade is a great ‘small town’ tradition and I was happy to be a part of the celebration. I also want to congratulate John Weiss for being recognized for all that he has done to beautify and protect our precious shoreline. It is a well-deserved honor.”
