Superintendent Losquadro and Councilman Logurcio

Farmingville, NY – Brookhaven Town Highway Superintendent Daniel P. Losquadro and Councilman Michael Loguercio have announced the completion of a Brookhaven Hamlet paving project.

This paving project involved the resurfacing of Old Stump Road from Montauk Highway to Beaver Dam Road, Old Barto Road from Montauk Highway to the south Dead End and the Sunrise Service Road South from Yaphank Avenue to the west Dead End. As part of the paving preparation, all drains in the area were inspected, cleaned and repaired, if necessary; in addition, one new drain was installed on Old Stump Road. The total cost for this paving project, which involved the milling of 27,529 square yards and the placement of 3,175 tons of asphalt, was $236,000.

“Old Stump Road is a major artery in Brookhaven,” said Superintendent Losquadro. “It is heavily traveled and was in great need of resurfacing. I was happy to be able to attend to it this paving season.”

Councilman Loguercio said, “Thank you to Highway Superintendent Dan Losquadro and to all our hard working folks at the Highway Department for their continuing effort in keeping our roads safe and beautiful. With approximately 3,500 miles of roads in Brookhaven, this is an arduous task and I very much appreciate their dedication to this challenge.”
