Farmingville, NY – On August 3, Councilman Kevin LaValle (center right) and Councilwoman Jane Bonner (center left) were on-hand to thank State Farm Insurance for the donation of a van to Hope House Ministries in Port Jefferson. The van, which will be used for the transport of goods and materials, was a recovered theft vehicle. Mechanical repairs and a new paint job were performed as a donation by LI Proliner Rescue in Medford. Founded in 1980, Hope House Ministries is a bi-county, not-for-profit, community-based ministry dedicated to providing comprehensive and competent residential and counseling assistance to thousands of adolescents, individuals and families in crisis. Visit the Hope House Ministries website to learn more.
Councilman LaValle said, “Hope House Ministries does so much in the community to help stem the tide of substance abuse and I am happy to support their mission. I thank State Farm Insurance and LI Proliner Rescue for making this donation.”
Councilwoman Bonner said, “Everything that Hope House Ministries does is aimed at helping people get their lives back on track. They can only be successful with the support of private individuals and companies like State Farm and LI Proliner Rescue. Thanks to everyone who played a part in this effort.
