Farmingville, NY – On August 11, Councilwoman Jane Bonner and Assemblyman Anthony Palumbo attended the Court of Honor Ceremonies for Boy Scouts of America Troop 161 of Shoreham. The ceremony was held at St. Mark's Center in Shoreham. Pictured left to right are Councilwoman Bonner; Scoutmaster John Aloisio; Eagle Scouts Patrick Lane; Brian Hernandez; Anthony Bitalvo; Gabriel Kent; Rocco Ricca; Liam Clifford and Liam Hudson; Scoutmaster Matthew Yakaboski and Assemblyman Palumbo.

“Congratulations to all of the new Eagle Scouts for completing their projects and achieving the rank of Eagle Scout,” said Councilwoman Bonner. “Boy Scouts are the leaders of tomorrow and from what I can see of this outstanding group of young man, we’ll certainly be in good hands.”

Since the award was presented in 1912, no more than four percent of all Scouts have attained the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest rank attainable in the Boy Scouts of America (BSA). Since its introduction in 1911, the Eagle Scout rank has been earned by more than two million young men.
