North Patchogue, NY – Brookhaven Town Highway Superintendent Daniel P. Losquadro and Councilman Neil Foley have announced the completion of a 25-road paving project in North Patchogue.

The total cost for this project, which in addition to milling and paving included the inspection and repair of all drains in the area as well as the installation of eight new ADA-compliant handicap ramps, was approximately $745,000.

Roads paved during this project include: Cedar Place, Cedar Street, Clay Street, Coleman Avenue, Coleman Place, Grand Avenue, Hayden Street, Jefferson Avenue, Lakeview Drive, Lexington Avenue, Lyman Avenue, Midway Boulevard., North Pine Street, Pine Court, Pine Street, Prince Street, Putnam Avenue, Seaside Avenue, Spruce Street, Traction Boulevard, Webb Avenue, West Street, West Woodside Avenue, and Woodward Avenue.

“We completed this project during the summer months to be as minimally-disruptive as possible to students and staff coming to and from Canaan Elementary School on Traction Boulevard,” Losquadro said. “Prior to paving, this project involved extensive concrete work, which was completed more cost-effectively by in-house crews.”

Councilman Foley said, “When our roads are re-paved, it not only looks better, but it's safer for everyone using them. Superintendent Losquadro has been making great strides in improving roads across Brookhaven Town and I thank him and all the dedicated men and women of the Highway Department for the work they've done in our district.”
