Farmingville, NY – On September 27, Councilwoman Jane Bonner (second from right) was at Cedar Beach in Mount Sinai to unveil the newly installed Little Free Library, a “take a book, return a book” free book exchange where anyone may take a book or bring a book to share. Joining Councilwoman Bonner at the event were (left to right) Brookhaven Town Parks Department employee Chris Barton, Comsewogue Public Library Director Debbie Engelhardt and Port Jefferson Free Library Director Thomas Donlan.
Councilwoman Bonner said, “Little Free Libraries are popping up all throughout Brookhaven Town and they are a wonderful way to promote reading for all ages. I thank everyone who helped bring this one to Cedar Beach and I encourage residents to take advantage of the opportunity to share the joy of reading.”
