Farmingville, NY –  On November 8, Councilman Michael Loguercio (center) attended a luncheon at Mather Hospital celebrating “National Nurse Practitioners Week,” which runs November 11-18. He presented a proclamation to commemorate the event and thanked all the nurses for their unwavering dedication to their patients. Nurse Practitioners serve in the frontlines as health care providers for all types of patients. They are highly skilled with advanced education and clinical training. There are more than 248,000 Nurse Practitioners in the US and 2,130 of them are in NY alone, providing primary, acute and specialty care to patients of all ages and walks of life.

Councilman Loguercio said, “Thank you all for making a difference in the lives of all of your patients. As a first responder, I see firsthand the dedication and care these Nurse Practitioners give in many different situations and we are very fortunate to have them on the frontlines saving lives.”
