Dear Fiends,
I hope this message finds you and your family safe and healthy. As we continue to practice social distancing to reduce the spread of the COVID-19 virus, I wanted to replace my monthly newsletter this month with some information regarding the local spread of this virus, and helpful resources you can utilize during this time. Much of this information, and more, is available on our website at
BrookhavenNY.gov, or you can follow my Facebook page at
https://www.facebook.com/councilmanlavalle/ where I will be posting regular updates to this evolving situation.
The most important thing we can do as a community is to continue to practice social distancing and regularly wash our hands to prevent the spread of this virus. Unless a trip is absolutely necessary, please stay home.
Brookhaven Town continues to operate, with a number of modifications put in place to ensure the health and safety of our residents and staff. Most departments are operating by email, phone conferences and through drop-off facilities located in our lobby. Our contact center continues to operate Monday-Friday from 9am – 4:30 pm to answer any questions you may have at 631-451-TOWN. Additionally, my office is continuing to answer calls and emails, so please continue to reach out to me at 631-451-6647.
Brookhaven workers are continuing to assist our seniors and most vulnerable population during this crisis, delivering meals to homebound seniors and partnering with non-profit agencies to deliver food and other necessary items. Please contact our Senior Services Division at 631-451-9191 for more information.
Please see the below useful information to keep yourself and our community safe and healthy.
Sincerely,
Kevin J. LaValle
