This year, individual volunteers and groups can once again join the 14th Annual Great Brookhaven Cleanup, part of the Great American Cleanup™, the nation’s largest organized cleanup, beautification and community improvement program.

In 2021 approximately 2,000 Brookhaven residents joined more than 500,000 volunteers in more than 15,000 communities across America to pick up nearly 66 million pounds of litter and debris, beautify 60,000 miles of roadway, and clean up more than 8,000 miles of rivers, lakes and seashores in their communities.

This year’s Great Brookhaven Cleanup is scheduled for Saturday, May 14, 2022. We hope that you will participate in this amazing event and become part of Keep Brookhaven Beautiful’s beautiful people doing beautiful things in 2022.

There are several ways in which your group can participate:
• Litter cleanups on streets, parks, playgrounds
• School cleanups
• River, lake and seashore cleanups
• Commercial Site / Shopping Center cleanups
• Nature trail, woodland trail and field cleanups
• Beautification/community improvement projects
